Overview

Located near Luxor, Banana Island is named after its tropical banana plantation.

Day trips can be arranged at any time of the day if booked in advance with Captain Abdullah and his crew. After being met at your hotel and transferred to the Nile Voyager, opposite the Winter Palace Hotel, you can enjoy a leisurely cruise to Banana Island while sipping a refreshing non-alcoholic drink.

After disembarking, you can take a short walk to the banana plantation, followed by a stroll among the many mango, orange, fig, and lemon trees. Depending on the season, these trees may be in full bloom or bearing fruit. They are located near the homes of many local farmers who either cultivate the land or tend their fruit trees. Water buffalo can be seen enjoying the muddy pools on the flat islands along the riverbank.
